Rocksteady is back with good news for everyone. The videogame series based on Batman’s universe that they created five years ago is about to get a much deserved conclusion. Batman: Arkham Knight will be the last chapter of an outstanding saga full of prominent titles that achieved strong critic reviews and the support of Batman fans. Arkham Knight will be released for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, but not for 360, PS3 or WiiU.
In the words of Rocksteady founder Sefton Hill: Arkham Knight is going to be an explosive finale for a saga that will end in triumph, at the top of its potential. This is what we want it to be; this must be a natural ending for the story. We really want to go out in style.

The studio has revealed several details about this new project, such as an artwork style that is half way between what we saw in Asylum and City. The omission of the multiplayer mode that Origins had is not surprising, given that the series never needed it to work. One of the new elements that fans will love is the use of the biggest icon in Batman’s universe: The Batmobile. This was the only thing that was lacking in our consideration of these games as the most perfect Batman titles. Moreover, Rocksteady is promoting a bonus for those who put their money down early: the ability to play as Harley Quinn, the Joker’s psychotic girlfriend.
The storyline is set a year after the second face-to-face encounter between Batman and the Joker. Even though Gotham City is safer now, The Dark Knight is still committed to his cause of defeating crime. However, the strange calm that surrounds the city has a dark origin; some of Batman’s worst enemies are working together to defeat him and rule Gotham City again.
